Dental care in Dongan-gu, Anyang

E-Think Dental Clinic is at Room 201, 312 Simin-daero, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Anyang is a city rather than a single neighbourhood, so two places that are both “in Anyang” can be a long way apart and on two different subway lines. This page says where the clinic sits inside the city and which station to aim for.

Where in the city the clinic is

The clinic is in Dongan-gu, the eastern of Anyang’s two districts. If you have a Korean address on a contract or a delivery, this is the part that matters: the clinic’s own address begins with Anyang-si, Dongan-gu, and the neighbourhood names you will hear around it — Pyeongchon, Beomgye, Indeokwon — all sit within a few minutes of each other.

Which station to aim for

Anyang Station is on Line 1, and it is not the station the clinic sits by. The clinic is beside the Line 4 stations further east, in Dongan-gu. Aiming for the wrong one of those is the mistake worth avoiding.

Driving times below change with traffic. Check Naver Map for current directions and travel times from where you actually are.

  • Beomgye Station (Line 4) — about a 5-minute drive. Coming from Beomgye
  • Indeokwon Station (Line 4) — about a 5-minute drive. Coming from Indeokwon
  • Anywhere else in Anyang — distances vary across the city, so let Naver Map work the journey out from your own starting point.

Arriving

Show this to a taxi driver

Korean addresses are numbered by road, not by block, so reading one aloud in English rarely lands. Showing the Korean text is quicker than explaining it.

The same address in Latin script is Room 201, 312 Simin-daero, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In Kakao T or Naver Map, searching the Korean clinic name brings up the same place.

Health insurance

If you hold an Alien Registration Card

Foreign residents enrolled in Korea’s National Health Insurance (NHIS) are covered here the same way Korean patients are. Everyday dental care — check-ups, scaling (covered once a year for patients aged 19 and over), fillings, root canal treatment, extractions and gum treatment — is generally covered, so you pay only the patient share.

Cosmetic and elective work — veneers, whitening and most orthodontic treatment — is not covered, and implants are covered only in the limited cases NHIS defines. Coverage rules are set by NHIS and change from time to time, so please bring your ARC and let us check what applies to your treatment before you decide.

Language

If you are worried about the language

Consultations are conducted in Korean. A few things make a first visit easier: send your questions ahead on KakaoTalk or by email so they are on the record before you arrive, bring a written note of your symptoms and any medication you take, and bring a friend, colleague or family member to interpret if you would like to. Nobody will rush you through the explanation.
