Coming from Beomgye

From Beomgye Station (Line 4), E-Think Dental Clinic is about a 5-minute drive. Traffic and your exact starting point change that, so check Naver Map before you set off. Below is the address to hand a driver, when the clinic is open, and what your National Health Insurance covers once you are in the chair.

Getting here from Beomgye Station

A short taxi ride still needs an address the driver can act on, and that is the part worth having ready on your screen before you get in.

The road a taxi takes is not the straight line between the two, so treat this as where things are rather than as a route.

The same address in Latin script is Room 201, 312 Simin-daero, Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In Kakao T or Naver Map, searching the Korean clinic name brings up the same place.

After work, and at weekends

Dental appointments are the ones that get postponed when you cannot take a weekday afternoon off. Weekdays here run until 21:00, and weekends and public holidays run 10:00 to 14:00 with no lunch break — the clinic is open every day of the year. If a course of treatment needs several visits, that is what makes it possible to do them outside working hours.

Booking

Walk-ins are possible, but booking ahead is recommended for an evening slot. Waiting and treatment times may vary. KakaoTalk and email let you describe the problem in writing before you come.

Health insurance

If you hold an Alien Registration Card

Foreign residents enrolled in Korea’s National Health Insurance (NHIS) are covered here the same way Korean patients are. Everyday dental care — check-ups, scaling (covered once a year for patients aged 19 and over), fillings, root canal treatment, extractions and gum treatment — is generally covered, so you pay only the patient share.

Cosmetic and elective work — veneers, whitening and most orthodontic treatment — is not covered, and implants are covered only in the limited cases NHIS defines. Coverage rules are set by NHIS and change from time to time, so please bring your ARC and let us check what applies to your treatment before you decide.

Language

If you are worried about the language

Consultations are conducted in Korean. A few things make a first visit easier: send your questions ahead on KakaoTalk or by email so they are on the record before you arrive, bring a written note of your symptoms and any medication you take, and bring a friend, colleague or family member to interpret if you would like to. Nobody will rush you through the explanation.
