Clinic fee schedule

Every clinic in Korea has to publish what it charges for treatment that National Health Insurance does not cover. This page is that list for E-Think Dental Clinic in Pyeongchon, Anyang, in English, together with the few insurance-related items the clinic also publishes. All amounts are in Korean won. Please check the category heading and the wording of each line.

Before you read the numbers

  • These are starting fees for each item. What your own treatment costs depends on the examination — how many teeth, whether bone grafting is needed, which material is used.
  • Veneers and whitening have 10% VAT added, except internal whitening of a non-vital tooth.
  • “Ask at the clinic” means the fee is not a fixed figure and is given to you at the consultation.
  • Most lines are treatment National Health Insurance does not cover. A few lines name an item that is covered by insurance; for those, whether you qualify and what the amount shown covers is confirmed at the clinic before treatment.
  • Item names that are still in Korean are the ones our fee sheet uses. You can point at the line at the front desk.

If you would rather read about what decides the cost than scan a table, the fees and insurance page covers the same ground in sentences.

What insurance covers instead

If you hold an Alien Registration Card

Foreign residents enrolled in Korea’s National Health Insurance (NHIS) are covered here the same way Korean patients are. Everyday dental care — check-ups, scaling (covered once a year for patients aged 19 and over), fillings, root canal treatment, extractions and gum treatment — is generally covered, so you pay only the patient share.

Cosmetic and elective work — veneers, whitening and most orthodontic treatment — is not covered, and implants are covered only in the limited cases NHIS defines. Coverage rules are set by NHIS and change from time to time, so please bring your ARC and let us check what applies to your treatment before you decide.

Questions about this list

Are these the prices I will pay?

Most of this page is the clinic's published fees for treatment that National Health Insurance does not cover, and what you actually pay depends on what your teeth need, which is decided after an examination. A few lines name an item that insurance covers; for those, what you pay follows the NHIS rules and your own eligibility, so please ask us to check it before you decide.

Why does this page exist?

Korea's Medical Service Act requires every clinic to publish the fees for treatment that insurance does not cover, so that patients can see them before deciding. This is the same list as the Korean page, in English.

What does 'Ask at the clinic' mean in the table?

It means the fee for that item is not a fixed figure and is given to you at the consultation. We would rather leave it blank than publish a number that would not be the one you are charged.

Ask before you decide

You are welcome to ask what a treatment is likely to cost before booking. An exact figure needs an examination, but we can tell you the range and what would change it.

The amounts above are the clinic’s published fees, listed under Article 45 of the Medical Service Act for treatment not covered by National Health Insurance and shown here together with the few insurance-related items the clinic publishes. They are a reference: the final figure for your own treatment is decided after an examination and explained to you before treatment begins. Unit labels such as “per tooth” say what the fee is counted by.

This page is general information about dental care, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. What is right for you depends on an examination. Please speak with a dentist before deciding on any treatment.
